Welcome to Rutland County Council's Waste and Recycling website.
Do you have an electrical item that has lost its spark?
Then you can take it to your local Civic Amenity site at Cottesmore or North Luffenham for recycling. If the electrical item has a mains cable, uses replaceable batteries, needs charging or has the crossed-out wheelie bin logo on it, then it can be recycled. This includes hairdryers, electric toothbrushes, toasters, hair straighteners, curling tongs, irons, food processers, DIY equipment such as power drills or sanders, and gardening kits including lawnmowers and strimmers, and much more! To find out more about recycling electricals please visit the Recycle Now website.
For information about the other aspects of our Waste Management services and to see our Waste Strategy please visit our Recycling and Waste Services page.
